Sewer & Drain Cleaning
Roto-Rooter does more than
just clear your drains. We can also repair or replace water and sewer
lines to correct a number of problems, including:
•
Broken, cracked,
offset or collapsed pipe — damaged pipes due to shifting
soil, frozen ground, settling, etc.
•
Blockage — grease
buildup or a foreign object is restricting or
prohibiting proper flow and/or cleaning of the line.
•
Corrosion — the
pipe has deteriorated and/or broken, causing collapses
in the line and restricting flow.
•
Bellied pipe — a
section of the pipe has sunk due to ground or soil
conditions, creating a valley that collects paper and
waste.
•
Leaking joints —
the seals between pipes have broken, allowing water to
escape into the area surrounding the pipe.
•
Root infiltration —
tree or shrub roots have invaded the sewer line,
preventing normal cleaning and/or have damaged the line.
•
Off-grade pipe —
existing pipes are constructed of substandard material
that may have deteriorated or corroded.

Video Pipe Inspection -
This is truly the
cutting edge of technology in the sewer and drain cleaning industry. With
this equipment we take all the mystery out of a problematic drainage pipe,
from a three inch sanitary sewer line to a 36 inch culvert or city main.
Specially made fiber optic cameras allow for a visual inspection of
underground sewer lines and other piping to determine the condition of the
inside of the pipe. A flexible rod with a high-resolution video camera on
its tip is inserted into the pipe for inspection. Video images are
transmitted to the camera operator and can be saved onto a videotape for a
permanent record. Radio transmitters on the camera record the depth and
physical location from the surface so that defects and obstructions can be
corrected cost effectively. Video cameras have also been used to locate lost
jewelry and other valuables, as well as animals that have become lost or
trapped in pipes.

-Trenchless
Excavation Technology-
Our trench-less
excavation technology uses advanced equipment to enter the ground via two
small access holes. Using the broken sewer line as a guide, our hydraulic
pipe-bursting machinery pulls full-sized, seamless replacement pipe through
the old pipe's path while breaking up the old damaged pip in the process.
Once completed, the entrance and exit pits can be quickly refilled, leaving
little or no evidence of activity.
Since the pipe is
seamless, it is resistant to leaks or root intrusion, with a long life
expectancy and a 10 year warranty. The entire process takes place below the
ground leaving almost everything on the surface undisturbed.
Trench-less pipe repair is faster than traditional excavation repair methods
and just as reliable. The conventional trenching process disrupts the
surrounding landscapes, lawns, patios, sidewalks, commercials parking lots,
etc. It can take several weeks and a small fortune to restore these features
to their original state. According to customer feedback, trench-less
technology is the preferred way to replace sewer pipes in residential,
commercial and industrial settings. Local plumbing authorities have approved
Roto-Rooter's trench-less excavation process in most cities and Roto-Rooter's
experienced technicians have completed hundreds of trench-less repair jobs
