Jack and Beth Lang started the business in 1960 after purchasing an existing pumping business from the prior owner's widow. It was a small business with one old 1954 1500-gallon tanker truck. With three existing franchises, serving Wayne and Pike counties in PA, and Orange and Sullivan counties in NY, they moved the business to its current location. In 1985, Ned Lang purchased the business from his parents, Jack and Beth. As the business progressed, six additional franchises were added, and they are as follows: Orange County, Sullivan, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, Schoharie, New York and Cape May, Cumberland and Hunterdon Counties, New Jersey. Ned served as an apprentice plumber from 1991 through 2003. Learning the plumbing trade from master plumbers Wayne Sheldon, Elmer Sheldon and Joe Fauver. Ned qualified and passed the Master Plumber's Exam in 2003. Throughout Ned's 22 years as the owner of Lang Companies, he has assisted it's growth from four employees to thirty-six employees. Our company philosophy is that all of our team members "Have Fun And Get The Job Done". Through our years of dedicated service to our satisfied customers, we have grown to be the largest and most complete plumbing and septic service in the tri-state area. Our customers have the utmost confidence in our equipment, as well as our 47 years of experience. Lang Companies have a fleet of 48 power units operated by highly trained service technicians. Our technicians are eager to serve our customers 24-7 and are endlessly striving to exceed your needs. In 2004, we purchased five additional vans, a Mack road tractor and two backhoes to add to our company fleet of power units. Additionally, all of our vans are fully equipped, now including video inspection equipment, to better service our customers. We have also recently renovated our corporate office and expanded it to better serve our customers and technicians!

Recent Jobs & Updates

The Narrowsburg, NY location not only houses our Corporate Office and complete office staff, but also more than half of the Roto-Rooter working fleet! To our fleet of six 5-ten wheels and 3 tractor-trailer vacuum tank trucks, we have just added another four thousand gallon Mack tanker with a brush, aluminum four-thousand gallon tank. We are very proud to include this new truck with the pet name of “Scoopy Duty Doo”. All of our machines are cleaned, stocked and ready to meet your septic and plumbing needs at any time of the day!
